Sweetened coconut milk served in a glass cup and some in a jar

Sweetened Coconut Milk

Description

Creamy, smooth, and naturally sweet, this homemade sweetened coconut milk is a rich tropical drink made from fresh coconut and a touch of sweetness. Perfect on its own, in smoothies, desserts, or cooking, it delivers a refreshing coconut flavor with a silky, indulgent texture.

Ingredients

  • Coconut: The base ingredient that gives a creamy texture, rich flavor, and tropical aroma.
  • Dates: Natural sweetener that adds caramel-like sweetness and extra nutrients.
  • Vanilla Essence: Enhances aroma with a warm, dessert-like flavor.
  • Salt: Balances sweetness and deepens the overall coconut taste.
  • Water: Helps blend everything into a smooth, drinkable consistency (adjust for thickness).

Instructions

Step 1: Blend Everything Together
Add coconut, dates, vanilla essence, salt, and water into a blender. Blend on high until smooth, creamy, and fully combined.

Step 2: Strain the Mixture
Pour the blended mixture through a fine sieve or nut milk bag. Squeeze well to extract all the creamy coconut milk, leaving the pulp behind.

Step 3: Store and Serve
Pour into a clean jar and refrigerate or serve immediately over ice. Shake well before using, as natural separation may occur.

Notes

Blend until the coconut is fully broken down for a smooth and creamy result. Poor blending will leave a grainy texture.

Strain thoroughly using a fine sieve or nut milk bag. This ensures a silky, pulp-free milk.

Adjust water quantity based on your preferred thickness. Less water gives a richer, creamier milk.

Dates should be well blended to fully dissolve sweetness into the milk. Undissolved pieces affect taste and texture.

Shake before use as natural separation is normal in homemade coconut milk. This does not mean it has gone bad.
