Almond Milk

Description

Creamy, light, and naturally nutritious, homemade almond milk is a simple plant-based drink made from blended soaked almonds and water. Smooth with a subtle nutty flavor, it’s perfect for smoothies, cereals, baking, or enjoying on its own as a refreshing dairy-free alternative.

Ingredients

  • Almonds: The base ingredient that gives creamy texture, nutty flavor, and healthy fats.
  • Dates: Natural sweetener that adds gentle caramel-like taste and extra nutrients.
  • Water: Blends everything into a smooth liquid; adjust for thickness or lightness.
  • Pinch of Salt: Enhances flavor and balances sweetness.
  • Vanilla Essence: Adds aroma and a warm, dessert-like flavor (optional but enhances taste).

Instructions

Step 1: Blend the Ingredients
Add almonds, dates, water, vanilla essence, and a pinch of salt into a blender. Blend on high speed until completely smooth, thick, and creamy.

Step 2: Strain the Mixture
Pour the blended mixture into a nut milk bag or muslin cloth placed over a bowl. Squeeze well to extract the liquid and separate it from the almond pulp.

Step 3: Store and Serve
Transfer the almond milk into a clean jar or bottle and refrigerate. Shake before use, as natural separation may occur.

Notes

Blend the almonds thoroughly to fully break them down. Poor blending will result in weak flavor and grainy milk.

Strain properly using a nut milk bag or muslin cloth. This ensures a smooth, silky, pulp-free texture.

Do not rush the squeezing process when straining. Proper extraction gives a richer and creamier milk.

Adjust water quantity to control thickness. Less water gives a richer milk, more water makes it lighter.

Shake before use because natural separation is normal. This does not affect quality or taste.
