About me

Hi, I’m Joy, the heart and hands behind Anrui’s Kitchen.
If you’re expecting one of those childhood stories about how I fell in love with cooking at the age of eight, I’ll surprise you—I was nothing like that. Growing up, I didn’t love cooking. In fact, I barely enjoyed it. My very first attempt at cooking at 14 was a total disaster, and I quickly convinced myself that maybe the kitchen wasn’t my place.
But here’s the twist—I’ve always had a love for good food. Even as a child, I could tell when a meal was perfectly cooked or when something was just… off. My taste buds were always sharp, even if my cooking skills weren’t. And that quiet love for delicious, well-made food never left me.
Fast forward to adulthood, I slowly discovered that cooking wasn’t just about putting food on the table. It became a way for me to create joy, to express love, and to nurture my family and friends. The more I cooked, the more I fell in love with the process—experimenting, learning, and seeing the smiles that a good meal could bring.
Now, here I am, sharing my journey with you through Anrui’s Kitchen. This blog is a space where I share the recipes I’ve grown to love, the meals I create for my family, and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. I may not have been born with a spoon in my hand, but I believe that a passion for good food is enough to turn anyone into a great cook.
So whether you’re here for quick family dinners, creative recipes, or just a little inspiration to enjoy cooking again, you’re in the right place. Welcome to my kitchen—I’m so glad you’re here.
